This is an experimental tool that is currently in development. The analysis is not exhaustive. We currently include articles that appear in news feeds from around 350 sources. The default sources are primarily UK news publishers.
When you enter a keyword or search term the graph shows you the number of corresponding articles found per day for each news source.
The 'topics' which appear below each graph are tags we automatically assign to the articles.
The tagging system attempts to handle ambiguity; for example it knows that "BBC" and "British Broadcasting Corporation" are the same thing and it is able to use the text in an article to try determine if a mention of "BNP" refers to the political organisation the "British National Party" or to the bank "BNP Paribas".
How we do this is under constant improvement and is imperfect you should definitely expect to come across errors!
Customise the sources you wish to include
An error occured fetching results for one or more sources. You may want to try again. Reducing the number of sources selected might help.
